Durafol® High Solvent Resistance
Durafol® is particularly suited to medical, clinical, pharmaceutical, and laboratorial applications requiring extreme chemical and solvent resistance. It is widely used for labelling applications within the laboratory or clinical environments where printed information such as patient ID, sample ID and batch numbers must remain highly legible on the label to ensure reliable traceability. Materials are also available with modified topcoatings that are resistant to surface staining from dyes used in laboratory pathology.
A thermal transfer printable polyester, Durafol® enables production of on-demand high performance variably printed labels. The label film’s high chemical resistance mean it can be exposed to a variety of harsh cleaning agents such as IPA, xylene and acetone without compromising the label’s print or topcoating.
